Noh Unprofessional, Prevents Agricultural Officers from Meeting Selangor Exco

SHAH ALAM, 26 Nov: The Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Datuk Seri Noh Omar has been accused being unprofessional in preventing the officers from his ministry from attending the Selangor Agricultural Modernisation, Natural Resources Management and Entrepreneurial Development Exco meeting.

The actions of the Minister have resulted in the poor standardisation of agricultural development in Selangor.

This was said by the Exco member involved, Dr Yaakob Sapari when met by TV Selangor after the Selangor State Assembly sitting was postponed this evening.

Dr Yaakob said that one of the effects of the actions will eventually cause the Fisheries Development Authorities of Malaysia’s (LKIM) jetty in Sungai Yu, Kuala Selangor to be built without the approval of the Kuala Selangor District Council.

“What is happening is, for example, when a development is carried out, he will enter the forests or state-owned land without permission.”

“This is in violation of the law because every land development has to go through the State Government.”

“The LKIM jetty is built without referring to the State Government when in reality, he has to refer to the State Government so that the development is carried out according to correct procedures and conducts,” said Dr Yakoob.

On touching the issue of the LKIM jetty, Dr Yaakob also said that one planning permission application had been made by the developers of the project.

However, the application had been returned with directives to make amendments on several issues of the project development.

Later on, it was found that the developers had failed to re-submit the planning permission to be given approval, altogether deeming the development as not obtaining approval for the planning permission.
