RM80 Million to Upgrade Jalan Reko Kajang – Bangi

SHAH ALAM, 30 Nov: The State Government has allocated RM80 million for upgrading and the installation of street lamps between Jalan Reko Kajang and Bangi town.

Local Government, Research and Development Committee Exco member, Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew said this in response to a questions by Dr Shafie Abu Bakar (PAS-Bangi) during the Selngor State Assembly (DNS) sitting today.

In the meantime, Ronnie said that the electrical source to power the street lights on road routes from UKM to Pekan Bangi Lama will be supplied, latest, by early December.

Previously, a total of RM250,000 was allocated through the Selangorku Grant for the installation of 70 street lamps on the five kilometre route.

The installation of street lighting is intended to facilitate the residents of Bangi Lama as well as road users who use this route at night who are exposed to various accident risks.

In addition, Ronnie also told the DNS that the upgrading of Jalan Reko Kajang to UKM has also commenced on 2 November 2012.
