SUNGAI BULOH, 26 Dec: Problems of uncollected rubbish solved within a few hours after complaints were forwarded to the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).

After a week of bearing with the stench and uncomfortable surroundings due to the garbage pile, residents of Kampung Kubu Gagah are now relieved that the problem has been solved following MBSA’s prompt action.

“This morning, I extended the complaint to MBSA through a telephone call and in less than a day, I found that the contractor had already come to collect the rubbish.

“If I knew that it would be this fast, I would have complained to MBSA sooner.

“I hope that the contractor can consistently perform works after this,” said Zainal Sabri, 48, who lives here at Jalan Gajah 3.

“It’s not anything, just that is garbage piles up, we are afraid that diseases will emerge.

“Thank you MBSA, for the prompt action in preventing this problem from persisting,” said the grandmother of nine grandchildren.

Earlier this year, MBSA had established a Garbage Operations Room (BOS) to enable the public to make garbage complaints at 03-5510 5461 or 03-5513 0878.

The operations room can be contacted from Monday to Friday, starting at 8am to 5pm, except on Saturdays, which is only open from 8am to 12pm.

Residents can also submit complaint through Short Messaging System (SMS) to 15888.
