Gombak, 7 Dec: Mosque institutions should intensify efforts to train the young generation of today to become competent successors and substitutes in the future.

He also said that Mosque Committee Members should be honest, competent, and professional as well as being able to work closely to develop programmes that can be prosperous to the mosque.

“Mosque Committee Members should also ensure that there are no elements of heresy in the parish that can be harmful to Muslims in the State of Selangor,” he said.

Meanwhile, about 1,000 people and residents here joined the Sultan in the Yasin reading, the Tahlil and the benediction in conjunction with the Sultan’s 67th birthday before commencing with the Friday prayers.

The Al-Hidayah Mosque was completed on the 6th of November 2012, at a cost of RM7 million, to replace the old mosque that could no longer accommodate the ever increasing number of people.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the Director of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), Datuk Marzuki Hussin said that the mosque built will continuously operate and will not only be limited to certain times such as prayer times.
