SHAH ALAM, 10 Feb: Hopes for this Chinese New Year is to bring about changes and positive impacts which are long-lasting for the people of Selangor and Malaysia.

Welfare, Culture, Women’s Affairs, Science, Technology and Innovation Exco, Rodziah Ismail urged for the people to unite in realising changes for the sake of returning the people’s rights which has been violated by irresponsible leaders.

“It is normal for every human being to have resolutions, vision and desires in accordance with the new year.

“We have to celebrate this new year with elements and attributes which can lead us and the country towards betterment and success.

“Therefore, we must ensure that the leaders elected are not corrupt, do not abuse power…for the sake of a prosperous future,” she said in her Chinese New Year message.

In the meantime, Rodziah, who is also the Batu Tiga Assemblyman, hopes that the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat Government will once again be given mandate to continue their excellent track record that they have maintained over the past five years.

“For the term served, the people of this state have been able to experience benefits given by the State Government with implementations such as welfare programmes as well as organised development.

“Hopefully, the mandate will be given (to the Selangor PR) to ensure that the Selangor economy will continue to improve and be boosted for the benefit of the people, irrespective of background and understanding,” she added.
