LRT Passengers Excited To Be Greeted By Chief Minister

BANDAR TUN RAZAK, 20 FEB: Passengers at the Bandar Tun Razak Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station were excited to meet Selangor Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim during a hospitality programme at the parliament concerned yesterday.

Abdul Khalid who is also the Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak initiated the meet-and-greet session starting at 5.30 in the evening before ending it half an hour later.

LRT passengers were initially surprised by the presence of Abdul Khalid who was waiting for them at the exit of the station to present gifts to nearly 100 passengers.

Norziah Pan Chek, 53, when met said that she was initially surprised by the presence of the Chief Minister, but then she felt excited when she was able to be greeted by the leader.

She added she was happy to be given the opportunity to chat with Abdul Khalid and at the same time share problems faced by the residents of the area.

“This way, we can continue to meet with leaders. It is not easy to meet them, thus this hospitality programme should be carried out regularly,” she said.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Mansoor Shaikh Ahmad said that he was satisfied with the leadership of Abdul Khalid in governing the state of Selangor.

He hopes that Abdul Khalid or Pakatan Rakyat continues to lead the state after the upcoming 13th General Elections (GE-13).

Abdul Khalid also had the opportunity to meet with the Taxi Drivers Association and residents around the area.
