MPK Offers Minimum RM15 For Parking Compounds

SHAH ALAM, 7 FEB: The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has offered a reduction of RM15 for every car parking compound starting from 1 February till 28 February and the amount will increase to RM30 for each compound starting from 1 March to 31 March 2013.

Director of Communications and Public Complaints, Norfiza Mahfiz said that the reduction will be implemented again after receiving positive response where many take the opportunity to settle their outstanding compounds.

She said that the campaign which is held will also help those who were unable to settle their outstanding compounds and that they will be able to settle the compounds according to the date set.

“The public is urged to take this opportunity to settle their compounds before the offer period expires on 1 April 2013 and they can check (their compounds) at the counters at the MPK headquarters as well as the Jalan Tengku Kelana MPK Branch Office while payments can be made at all Council counters at the MPK headquarters, MPK Branch Office, Jalan Tengku Kelana.

“In addition, payments can also be settled at the MPK Counter at the Bukit Tinggi Giant Mall, the MPK counters at the Port Klang Bus Stop, the Branch Office at the Jalan Meru Market Complex, Meru Public Hall, Pekan Kapar Market Branch Office, MPK Mobile Counters and MPK ‘Roadshow’ Counters which will be available later,” she said in a media statement.

Meanwhile, Norfiza also explained that the public can now obtain car park coupons at the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) Headquarters and its branches as well as appointed agents in accordance with the MPK initiative of introducing the Coupon Parking System.
