SEAC Discuss Ways To Overcome Flooding In Puchong

SHAH ALAM, 20 FEB: The State Government will decide on how to solve the flash flood problem which occurred in Puchong yesterday when the Selangor Economic Action Council (SEAC) meeting ends this evening.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the expected action which will be taken is to design and correct infrastructural development in the area.

He said the decision as to how it will be done will be based on the clarification by the President of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council, Datuk Asmawi Kasbi at the meeting.

“We will ask the MPSJ President to provide a clarification regarding the development in the area and why flooding occurs.

“From there, decisions will be made professionally and it will be announced if the infrastructural development in the area will be redesigned,” he said in a press statement after the Exco meeting ended here today.

Abdul Khalid said that the State Government has instructed the MPSJ Engineering Department to conduct an investigation and to prepare a report.
