KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Mar: The Selangor Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim stated that the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) will still be dissolved at the end of this month if the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak does not dissolve the Parliament at the same time.

Abdul Khalid said that until now, he is still waiting for the announcement by Najib before making a decision to dissolve the DNS to obtain a fresh mandate from the people of Selangor.

“I am waiting for the PM. But I will make a decision if the Parliament does not take place before the end of March, I will do it,” said Abdul Khalid who is also the Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak.

Abdul Khalid said this when he was asked by reporters during a press conference to object to unlicensed parking fee collectors at the Taman Connought Giant Mall in Cheras today.

Previously, Abdul Khalid had said that the State Government plans to dissolve the DNS at the end of this month.

At the end of last month, he also confirmed that the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has expressed consent and has no objections to dissolving the DNS.
