SHAH ALAM, 16 Mar: DYMM (His Royal Highness) The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is proud of the integrity and efficiency of the Chief Minister and the State Executive Council and their efforts to administer Selangor successfully.

According to the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, the praise was commanded to him personally in a meeting some time ago.

“There are times where we are casually chatting and in our conversation, he said that he was proud with the current State Government ‘team’,” said Abdul Khalid in the Cheque Presentation Ceremony for Tamil Schools in Selangor last night.

According to Abdul Khalid, the Selangor Sultan’s appreciation has never been told to any of the Exco members so that they will not be proud and careless by the praise.

In the same speech, Abdul Khalid also slammed the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who earlier claimed that the administration had failed to administer the State Government properly.

Seeing that the performance of the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat Government is much better than the performance of the Umno-BN administration 11 terms before this.

The success includes an increase in state revenues from only RM400 million left by the Umno-BN administration to RM2.6 billion under the reign of the Selangor PR Government.

Selangor also recorded a total investment of RM49.75 billion from 2008 to 2012, altogether maintaining the performance of the state as the major investment destination in Malaysia.
