SUBANG JAYA, 21 Mar: Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid informed that the State Government has a few dates to dissolve the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) to provide an opportunity for a fresh mandate in the 13th General Elections (GE-13).
According to Abdul Khalid, discussions have been on-going, but the announcement of the date to dissolve the DNS will be made in the near future.
“The discussions have been on-going but a strategy to determine when the GE-13 will take place has not been set until an agreement is reached as to when the Selangor State Assembly will be dissolved.
“The date of the dissolve will be announced if the Federal Government announces its dissolve.
“If the Federal Government dissolves Parliament tomorrow (for example), the State Government will discuss whether it will be done together with the federal (government) or not.
“We have specific dates,” he said.
Previously, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim announced to dissolve the DNS earlier and that the GE-13 in Selangor will take place without the Federal Government.
