PORT KLANG, 22 Apr: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will return revenue obtained from the Port Klang Authority to the people every year when they successfully takeover the administration of Putrajaya after the 13th General Election (GE-3).

PR candidate for the Port Klang State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the Port Klang Authority controlled by the Federal Government generates a fat income each year.

However, he said, the profits obtained is not returned to the people, especially to the people of Selangor.

“Port Klang receives much revenue each year, about RM1 billion per month; the profit from Customs is not little.

“It’s not right that the people of Klang do not receive royalties. Imagine with that amount of money, hundreds of thousands of homes can be built,” he said during the officiating ceremony of the Pulau Indah Operations Room.

Abdul Khalid said that should be elected as the representative of the area, he will ensure that Port Klang will be further developed, including Pulau Indah, to become more modern with commendable progress.

“Winning in Selangor is not enough, but we have to win at Putrajaya to make changes as a whole,” he said, confident that the people will support PR.
