SHAH ALAM, 15 Apr: To facilitate the payment of assessment taxes, the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has launched the ‘MyMobile’ application that uses a mobile phone without needing to go to a counter.

Through this application, property owners in Shah Alam need only to register at the CIMB financial institution portal at www.cimbclicks.com.my

The launching ceremony was officiated by the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who was accompanied by the MBSA Mayor, Datuk Mohd Jaadar Atan at the Silver Jubilee Hall in conjunction with the Monthly Government Departments Assembly.

“The payment system via the short message system (SMS), integrated with CIMB, is where users can access CIMB financial payments through the phone.

“Property owners who have CIMB accounts can use the application to settle their assessment fee to MBSA,” said Abdul Khalid in a press conference.

During the same ceremony, Abdul Khalid also launched the ‘Shah Alam City Council Industrial Directory 2013’ related to the manufacturing sector which was published in collaboration with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Selangor State Investment Centre (SSIC).

According to Abdul Khalid, the publication of this book is meant as a reference to prospective investors and existing investors to obtain information on a factory operating in Shah Alam.

He said that this directory can be used as a guideline and as a reference to start investing in the city of Shah Alam.

“Almost 7,000 investors were recorded and their operations area were listed and made into a book so that it becomes an information source to any party wishing to make contact with a factory.

“This directory is very useful and has become a materiel for us to advertise to investors from the country and abroad about investments taking place and some areas where they can focus on as a cluster mechanism in the industry,” he added.
