Dr Halimah: “Repent, Umno”

KLANG, 14 Apr: Umno-BN leaders have been asked to repent and to not use phonographic material and sex as their political weapon, advised Selat Kelang Assemblyman, Dr. Halimah Ali.

The Education, Higher Education and Human Capital Development Exco said that the coalition should be ashamed and realise that such behaviour is going awry and in no way reflects the purity of Islam and Malay culture that us often publicised.

“(Umno-BN) should feel ashamed, even non-Muslims do not use this method, it is disgusting. Do not use the issue of sex, be shameful around children, around the young.

“Even if there is a video of Chua Soi Lek, it should not be shown, much less of a PAS leader that has been fighting for Islam for decades,” Halimah added firmly in a press conference yesterday.

While condemning such actions which are deemed disgusting, Halimah said that the video is the latest defamation to discredit PAS and Pakatan Rakyat leaders.

“Previously, I was accused of khalwat (being in close proximity) at Crystal Crowne, Klang, when during that time I was at a forum with other friends.

“In PAS, we have no other purpose than to fight for Islam, if Umno really can fight for Islam, PAS can be dissolved,” she added.

Recently several pro-Umno blogs posted a video allegedly involving a man that looks like the PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali, with an unknown woman in a hotel room.

“Repent, Umno and other parties involved. Not afraid of danger? They ought to know,” said Halimah again asking Umno to repent.
