SEPANG, 24 Apr: Due to very similar manifestos offered by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and BN for the 13th General Election (GE-13), the people should choose PR because the coalition was the original drafters of the manifesto.
DAP Secretary-General, Lim Guan Eng said that BN merely plagiarised the PR manifesto which was released earlier.
He said that the people need to be smart in assessing both the manifestos, between the party the created it or the party that merely followed and copied.
“The PR and BN manifestos seem no different from each other, which to select? If both are the same, pick the original.
“Now we are picking a government, we do not want to choose a ‘copycat’ government. Pick the government which original. Pick PR,” he said in a meet-the-people session here today.
The Chief Minister of Penang explained that the ‘copy’ tactics of the manifesto implies that BN is left behind and only good at ‘following’.
Therefore, he said, BN should withdraw and make way for PR to move forward to govern the country.
“BN has been sleeping for 55 years, now we will let BN sleep forever,” said the Bagan Parliamentary seat incumbent.
He said that the victory in Sepang is important to PR because the area is so close to Putrajaya.
He stressed that the people need to support and ensure PR’s victory in taking over the administration of Putrajaya.
