KLANG, 22 Apr: Former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim will certainly bring back the Port Klang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat to the bosom of the people in the 13th General Election (GE-13).

“To ensure that the people are not fooled anymore, we have appointed the Chief Minister to contest here.
“The party did not choose me or any other candidate to contest here.
“But its is choosing the person who suggested and highlighted the ‘frog’ candidate in the last GE to redeem the mistake of 2008,” he said in a talk held at Kampung Nelayan here at Pulau Indah last night.
Also present to give their talks was the Sekinchan DUN candidate, Ng Suee Lim, Klang Parliament candidate, Charles Santiago and also State Government Exco, Ronnie Liu, who is also the former DAP Assemblyman for the Pandamaran DUN for the previous term.
In the GE-12, the Port Klang seat was won by the PKR candidate at the time, Badrul Hisham Abdullah, who defeated BN candidate, Roselinda Abdul Jamil and Independent candidate, Nazir Mansor, with a majority of 4,440 votes.
He then declared that he left PKR in September 2009 and joined Umno six months later.
“Everyone at Port Klang, do not worry. Tan Sri Abdul Khalid will redeem the N46 for the people, this is his commitment,” said Faekah ending her speech, representing the Chief Minister.
For the GE-13, Abdul Khalid will face BN candidate, Datuk Nasaruddin M. Zin, who is also the Klang Division Umno Deputy Chief.
The fare of these two candidates will be determined by the 39,972 voters in Port Klang.
