HULU KLANG, 28 Apr: Residents of Ukay Perdana who were met expressed satisfaction with the performance shown by the Pakatan Rakyat State Government.
They also hope that the elected representative will maintain the current performance and hopes that it can be improved on several matters raised.
For Khaizir Irwan Nordin, he is satisfied with the level of security in the area and he also hopes road problems can be resolved.
“So far, everything is okay. Even (criminal) cases are not many.
“Here the problem is with the roads as some need to be upgraded.
“In terms of garbage (removal) there are no problems. I live in Apartment Sri Putri and it is all done according to schedule,” he explained.
Meanwhile Abdul Malik Mohamed Ibrahim said that on the whole, he is satisfied and hopes that this situation can be retained.
He suggested that traders should be given a more systematic business space compared to the current which is rather scattered.
“The business space which is scattered causes the waste management system to be problematic,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Hulu Klang constituency incumbent, Saari Sungib in an initial reaction explained that the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has provided almost 400 units of garbage bins, especially in commercial areas.
He said that, what is important is the monitoring system of direct collection should be carried out by MPAJ so that it is more effective.
He also hopes that the MPAJ will increase the price of cleanliness project contracts and to repair infrastructure as there are a few contractors facing problems of shortage of equipment and workers to carry out their duties.
