Three Villages in Bestari Jaya Receive Land Grants

BESTARI JAYA, 7 Apr: Three villages in Bestari Jaya received the 5A form from Selangor Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

The three villages are Kampung Pecah Batu, Kampung Permai and Kampung Jaya Setia.

A total of 121 residents of those villages received the 5A form after the Chief Minister promised to resolve the land ownership titles a month ago.

Khairiah Mustapha, 50, from Kampung Permai, expressed her joy after 10 years of applying for the land which she now owns.

“I am very grateful and relieved that y efforts and waiting has finally come true today, I would like to thank all those who have helped,” she said.

Another resident from Kampung Jaya Setia, Samsuri Mat Kesah, praised the Chief Minister for fulfilling promises.

“Previously, the Chief Minister and the District Officer promised to solve this land ownership issue and within a month, it was resolved,” he said.

Maimunah Roslan, 70, shared her joy and gratitude after her wait to own the land title was fulfilled by Abdul Khalid.

“I represent my husband in thanking the State Government for finally fulfilling my husband’s wish to receive the land title after decades living here,” she said.

Meanwhile, Abdul Khalid in his speech said that to date, more than 20,000 residents in Selangor have been granted titles with a premium payment of RM1,000.

He said that if there are residents who cannot afford to pay the premium, the State Government will provide an alternative to help them.

“If you cannot afford to pay, do not be silent, I will endeavour to ask for help from the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais), the Zakat and we will also give them work so the premium can be paid,” he said.

Also present was former Kuala Selangor Member of Parliament, Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, the President of the Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS), Noraini Roslan and the Kuala Selangor District Officer, Mohamad Yadzin Bidin.
