TANJONG KARANG, 3 May: Voters in the Tanjong Karang Parliament have been urged to reject narrow racial politics championed by Umno-BN leaders, stressed PKR Vice-President, Azmin Ali.

“A vote for Datuk Seri Noh Omar means a vote for Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa), a vote for Umno means a vote for racial politics, we cannot champion racial politics,” said Azmin.

He urged the Chinese community to no longer fear PAS because its leaders are among those with high integrity and moral values.

“You should be afraid of Umno, the people in PAS are good and they do not oppress the people but for people from Umno, they may be Malays but they steal the people’s land.

“A vote towards the Permatang candidate, Yahya Sahri means a vote to create a big family,” said Azmin.

He said this during a ceramah (talk) with the residents of Kampung Baru Tiram Jaya here which was attended by around 200 people.

Azmin explained that he wants all races to live in peace and cooperation by rejecting the 1Malaysia concept which does not reflect the true concept of cooperation between races.

He said that voters have to be brave to make a change on 5 May to choose Pakatan Rakyat candidates so that the people can be led by those who can perform with trust and responsibility.

“Ladies and gentlemen, if you want the voice of the Permatang constituency to be heard at the State Legislative Assembly sessions then the person is Yahya Sahri who will bring the people’s voices and to bring about development here.

“Let the people in Tanjong Karang be taken care by a trustworthy leader,” said Azmin.
