Blackout 505 People’s Voice Assembly Reaches 10,000 Attendees

KUALA LUMPUR, 25: The Blackout 505 People’s Voice Assembly which is held tonight has started to attract thousands of participants at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) East field.

As of 5.30pm, the estimated number of attendees has reached over 10,000 people.

Outside the field, people continue to flock to enter the field in front of Amcorp Mall.

While waiting for main leaders of Pakatan Rakyat, a number of young NGO leaders have started delivering their speeches.

The assembly was organised by several NGOs to protest against the alleged fraud and widespread abuse of power in the 13th General Election (GE-13).

A group of youth sang the “Banglasia” song as a sign of protest against the alleged bringing in of foreign nationals who were given identification cards to vote in the GE-13.

Leman Raja Lawak and Abby Abadi also delivered speeches.
