SELAYANG, 3 May: The residents of Bukit Botak have been advised to not be fooled by Umno-BN offers promising to reduce prices of residences from RM90,000 to RM70,000 if they capture Selangor in the 13th General Election (GE-13).

PAS candidate for the Taman Templer constituency, Zaidy Abdul Talib characterised it as another series of election promises by Umno-BN which will not be delivered to the people.

“We are disappointed by Umno-BN who has played the residents of Bukit Botak by promising to lower prices of completed homes when everyone knows that the project was completed by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) after being left abandoned for decades.

“I ask for the people to not be fooled once again by such promises. I represent PR in expressing disappointment with Umno-BN’s actions to win the election this way,” he said.

Prior to this, Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in a series of campaign roadshows promised to reduce house prices in the Bukit Botak project at Selayang to RM70,000 if BN is given the mandate to lead the State Government.

The offer was made as a pledge in the Selangor BN manifesto when he held a ‘turun padang’ (going down to the ground) programme at the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) recently.
