PORT KLANG, 19 May:The Selangor Exco lineup will be represented by four candidates from PAS and three each from PKR and DAP.
Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that they will be applying the 4:3:3 formula (PAS:DAP:PKR) thus confirming rumors that there will be changes in the distribution of representation in the Selangor Exco lineup.
It is following the domination of PAS and DAP which each acquiring 15 seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) compared to 14 seats won by PKR in the recent 13th General Election (GE-13) on 5 May 2013.
During the 2008 election, PKR win 15 DUN seats, DAP (13 seats) and PAS (8 seats) with the lineup of the Exco being four from PKR and three each from DAP and PAS.
Abdul Khalid said that the list of candidates to fill the Executive Council is left to DYMM the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah last Friday, including the list of alternative candidates.
“I gave him the list of names, including several alternative names, to give him the opportunity to look at and make a decision.
If there are any changes, DYMM His Royal Highness will call me to hold a discussion,” he told reporters after the Port Klang DUN Thanksgiving Ceremony here at Pandamaran last night.
Khalid, who is also the Port Klang Assemblyman, said that the swearing in ceremony for the State Government Exco will be held within two weeks.
Meanwhile, at the Port Klang Thanksgiving Ceremony at the Park Field in Pandamaran Jaya, nearly 5,000 people came to celebrate Pakatan Rakyat’s victory in the recent GE-13.
