SHAH ALAM, 17 May: The Sungai Pinang Assemblyman, Datuk Teng Chang Khim and Seri Kembangan Assemblyman, Ean Yong Hian Wah, will be nominated for the Selangor Executive Council position by DAP.
Meanwhile, the extra Excos will be announced after discussions with the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) components, said DAP Secretary General, Lim Guan Eng in a statement.
“Teng asked to be changed from the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) Speaker post to the post of an Executive Councillor and I agree with his request.
“Meanwhile, Ean will remain as an Executive Councillor of Selangor for a second term,” said Guan Eng.
Guan Eng said that the selection of Selangor Exco candidates from DAP is made by the Selangor DAP Chairman, Teresa Kok and the Selangor DAP Deputy Chairman, Tony Pua.
“No announcements will be made until discussions are over,” said Guan Eng.
On 14 May, Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the Selangor Exco lineup will be unveiled next week.
