SHAH ALAM: The people of Selangor gave a bigger mandate to Pakatan Rakyat this time when 44 Selangor State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats were won by the coalition.

Thus, giving Pakatan a two-thirds majority in the Selangor State Assembly (DNS). Umno-BN candidates won 12 Selangor State Assembly seats.

The results prove that the “revenue for the people” administration practice is rooted in the hearts of the people. In fact, Pakatan candidates managed to add to the majority wins in many DNS seats.

In addition to winning 34 seats which were contested for in 2008, Pakatan managed to capture the following constituencies; Dusun Tua, Sabak, Taman Templer, Tanjung Sepat, Paya Jeras, Sri Serdang, Kuala Kubu Baru, Sementa, Morib and Sungai Pelek.

However, Pakatan did not successfully defend the Kota Damansara and Bukit Malawati seats.

The results also showed an increase in the majority of many seats won.

So far, PAS win 15 DNS seats, DAP, 15 and PKR, 14 seats.
