KUALA LUMPUR, 20 May: The Minister of Youth and Sports (KBS), Khairy Jamaluddin was challenged to prove that his victory in the Rambau Parliament in the recent 13th General Election was not because of election fraud.

The challenge was made following the investigation team of the GE-13 fraud and irregularities, #SiasatPRU-13 (GE-13 Investigation) led by PKR Strategy Director, Rafizi Ramli who also received police reports regarding the issue of election fraud by voters at the Rambau Parliament.

Voters, Mohd Khir Shaari lodged a police report at the Rantau Police Station in Seremban on 5 May when the Election Commission (EC) officer on duty at Sekolah Kebangsaan Datuk Akhir Zaman polling station did not allow him to vote on grounds that he already voted.

“I also challenge YB Khairy Jamaluddin who is newly appointed to the Cabinet to answer regarding the existence of phantom voters in the Rembau Parliament which may have contributed to his victory,” said Rafizi.

According to Rafizi, Khairy should prove, as he claims, that he is a moderate minister who can accept the views of all parties, including the Youth Wing of Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

Before this, the GE-13 which was held on 5 May made history when it became the dirtiest election ever held over the past 13 elections.

Among other things, there was also the existence of phantom voters, foreign nationals who were given identification cards to vote and irregularities committed by some EC staff.
