KLANG, 30 May: Ten Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders were safely sworn in as Members of the Selangor State Government Executive Council.
The Selangor Government made history as the first state to have a woman Speaker with the appointment of Subang Jaya Assemblywoman, Hannah Yeoh for the office.
The Oath Swearing Ceremony and the Pledge Undertaking as well as the Letter of Appointment for the Honourable Members of the Selangor State Executive Council which took place in front of DYMM the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Balairong Seri, Alam Shah Palace here in Klang.
The appointment of the Selangor State Government Council Members was based on the 4-3-3 formula which saw four Excos being from the Malay community and four Non-Malays.
All of them received the Selangor Sultan’s assent before being sworn in today.
Two weeks ago, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was again chosen to be the Chief Minister of Selangor for a second term to lead the Selangor administration.
