KUALA LUMPUR, 2 Oct: The Central Government is not professional in dealing with the issue of using fake degrees from abroad by some leaders of Barisan Nasional (BN).
Member of Parliament for Serdang, Dr Ong Kian Ming was disappointed when the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, did not answer the question in detail despite the various evidence presented.
“He (Shahidan) did not answer questions on the use of fake degrees by ministers. Instead, he only referred to civil servants.
“He merely said that the government will only act when an individual uses it to get jobs in the public service.
“The answer is not professional,” he said at a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
Previously, Ong revealed two Members of Parliament from BN who received their academic qualifications from dubious institutions.
