Sultan of Selangor: Continue to Maintain Selangor as the Most Advanced, Comfortable, Safe State

SHAH ALAM, 7 Apr: Today, His Royal Highness (Duli Yang Maha Mulia) the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, commanded for Selangor to continue to maintain its position as the most advanced state in Malaysia.

The Sultan commanded that the State Government should also make the state one of the comfortable and safe place to visit.

“I hope that all elected representatives will be present at all conference sessions and stand up to speak and give thoughtful suggestions and opinions.

“This is for the good of the people in every village, parish, district and throughout the state that we love,” commanded that HRH the Sultan during the Opening Ceremony of the Second Session of the 13th Selangor State Assembly Session Meeting for 2014.

Earlier, the Sultan said consented to inspect the Guard of Honour at Dataran Kawad in front of the State Secretary Building this morning.

He then entered the building with the Selangor State Assembly (DNS), accompanied by the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and the DNS Speaker, Hannah Yeoh.

Among other things, the Sultan also praised the continuous commitment by the State Government under the leadership of Abdul Khalid in boosting economic development in the state, in addition to preserving the welfare of the people.

“I am pleased that the investment amount for 2013 in Selangor has increased, at RM9.8 billion.

“The 228 number of projects and the provision of over 200,000 job opportunities in all sectors,” he added.
