Dyana Sofya’s mom: “I declare I am leaving Parkasa, no longer aligned to its objectives”

TELUK INTAN, 27 May: Yammy Samat officially announced today that she is leaving Malay rights group Perkasa, as she no longer felt aligned to its objectives.

The mother of DAP candidate for the Teluk Intan by-election, Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, said that she was not the first woman leader in Perkasa, as alleged by Raihan Sulaiman Palestin, who had contested the Wanita Umno head’s post.

“No, I was never Perkasa women chief. The NGO’s women chief is Raihan Sulaiman Palestin, who contested the Wanita Umno head post recently. You can ask her.

“I left Perkasa a long time ago, more than a year.

“I am still a member but given the current situation, I declare that I am leaving Perkasa,” she said during a press conference at the DAP Operations Room in Teluk Intan today, taken from the Malaysian Insider.
