SHAH ALAM, 3 July: The implementation of the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (KIDEX) in the area of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) does not involve any land acquisition from residents or land-owners.

He said that they have not received any objections from residents and there is no need to worry because it does not involve any acquisition of land in the project area.

“The KIDEX will be carried out by the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA). It has been discussed at the state level and agreement has been reached to carry it out. The two local authorities involved in the project are MPSJ and the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).

“Residents do not have to worry because this project does not involve any land acquisition in the area under MPSJ,” he said, quoted from Sinar Harian.

Asmawi also informed that they have received input from the residents and agencies involved through meetings at the town hall recently.

He said that it includes measures to solve the traffic problem and upgrade the traffic system at the location concerned.

“MPSJ will deliver the input given by the residents to the MHA if they intend to improve the design of the expressway,” he said.
