It is believed that Azmin is able to continue PR’s excellence

SHAH ALAM, 25 Sept: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, is believed to be able to continue PR’s excellence in administering the state of Selangor and ensuring that the welfare of the people is prioritised.

The Assemblywoman for Batu Tiga, Rodziah Ismail, said that Azmin has the ability to translate the coalition’s policies into state government policies.

“We hope that the benchmark laid by Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim will be the standard in the new Chief Minister’s development and planning.

“I hope that the basics can be continued and the three state policies; efficiency, accountability and transparency, can be translated in the government administration,” she told Selangor Kini.

Azmin, who is also the Assemblyman for Bukit Antarabangsa, took the oath as the 15th Chief Minister of Selangor in front of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Istana Alam Shah in Klang.

He replaced Abdul Khalid who was the Chief Minister of Selangor since 2008.

Prior to that, the Umno Information Chief, Ahmad Maslan, said that Azmin’s appointment is not significant for the richest state in Malaysia, but only ‘rides’ on the success carried out by the BN government for 15 terms.

Rodziah expressed disappointment with the attitude of the previous government which only carried out the responsibilities expected of any government.

She stressed that the PR administration in Selangor has gone to pains to correct the errors by the previous administration and coordinated the state government policies to meet the needs of the majority.

“If BN said we continued their success, where did we continue from?

“We did a lot of reforms. If it was a continuation, we would just need to close our eyes and continue. In fact I deny it if BN said that we continued it because many BN policies were abolished and we created new policies,” she said.
