The Sultan of Selangor approves the list of Exco members, CM has yet to decide Exco quota

SHAH ALAM, 25 Sept: His Royal Highness (HRH) the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has accepted the list of names for the new State Government Executive Council (Exco).

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the Exco composition remains at 10, but has not confirmed whether the formula of 4-3-3, which is PAS (4), PKR (3) and DAP (3), will be maintained or otherwise.

“I have presented the names of the Exco members to the Sultan.

“HRH approved the list of names given and I will announce it tomorrow,” he told reporters after going before Sultan Sharafuddin at the Istana Mastika in Shah Alam today.

However, most of the local media reported that Azmin will retain the Exco quota with the 4-3-3 formula before the Chief Minister’s Office distributes the press statement which states that talks are still on-going.

“Media reports on the distribution of the State Executive Council quote are not accurate because negotiations are still on-going,” said Azmin on Twitter just now.
