Anwar should attend royal afternoon tea invitation

SHAH ALAM, 27 Feb: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should be allowed to attend the House of Representatives session next month, including attending the royal tea party with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after the opening ceremony.

Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament, Nurul Izzah Anwar, said that Anwar should be able to fulfil His Majesty’s invitation to have tea together.

“There is a special place for the Opposition Leader at the event,” said Nurul Izzah, taken from Malaysia Kini.

During a press conference at the PKR office today, Nurul Izzah showed the invitation card to the Parliamentary session from March 9 to April 9 from the House of Representative Speaker.

The official letter was sent with an envelope written ‘Matters of His Majesty’, added Nurul Izzah.

According to her, the invitation was sent to Anwar after he was sentenced to five years in prison on February 10.
