Sirul ready to expose Altantuya case when time is right

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Feb: A teleconferencing between the PAS Information Chief, Mahfuz Omer, and the former police commando Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar was done after a wait since 11.33am.

At the press conference at 1.30 pm, Sirul, who was found guilty for murdering Mongolian national Altantuya Sharibuu, said that he thanked the Australian government for providing shelter to him throughout his detention there.

He said that he does not intend to make any statement in the near future.

“I want to say that I am very grateful to the Malaysian media for covering this issue.

“I thank the Australian government for providing a safe place,” said Sirul.

Sirul said that he is now under the protection of Australia and does not intend to make any disclosures at the moment.

“However, I will make another statement when the time is right,” he said.
