Increase in Malay votes a positive sign for Keadilan

By: Zuraida Kamaruddin

Our recent victory in Permatang Pauh is nothing short of the expected and we thank the voters tremendously for their support.

The 75 percent voter turnout for this by-election was a very encouraging sign and we are grateful that the voters saw it necessary to take the time to come out to vote.

_MG_5416We are especially aware of the increase in Malay votes of between 4 – 5 percent and we take it as an indication of endorsement for Keadilan and our fight for justice.

Issues that were brought up during this by-election were largely concerning the GST. We in Keadilan are committed to continue the fight against the GST as it is a burden to the rakyat. Najib Razak and Ahmad Maslan should expect more protests from us.

Wanita Keadilan would also like to congratulate Kak Wan, our president and the newly re-elected MP for Permatang Pauh for winning the seat. We are also proud to gain an additional woman MP into the Parliament.

As a country we should focus on progressing forward and to nurture the young and future leaders. Among the failures of the BN government is their inability to stop the brain drain.

Keadilan sees it fit to groom intelligent young leaders who have a sense of justice and provides them a platform to air their views regardless of their gender.
