SPECIAL REPORT: 55 abandoned projects restored

SHAH ALAM, 8 May: The state government restored 55 abandoned projects from the total 262 projects involving 27,234 units between March 2008 to January 31 this year.

The Assistant Director (Project Monitoring Unit) of the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS), Mohd Faizal Abd Kadir, said that the projects completed are those that are licensed and not licensed.

He said that 31 licensed projects involved 17,489 units, followed by 24 unlicensed units with 9,745 units.

The five projects completed in 2014 involved 3,596 units from the total licensed projects completed.

“The projects are Nusa Mewah Villa Kondominium, Bukit Pandan, Ampang, under the supervision of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ).

“Taman Kajang Villa, Hulu Langat under the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) and Taman Kenanga, Dengkil, Sepang (MPSp).

“Two other projects are the Lengkungan Kampung Nelayan Apartments, Taman Sri Nelayan, Klang, under the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and the Bandar Baru Kudang Apartments, Rawang, under the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS),” he told Selangor Kini.

Meanwhile, the Angsana Hilir Projest, Apartment Block D, Taman Sri Angsana, Ampang, involving 165 units, was completed earlier this year.

For unlicensed projects, three projects were completed in 2014 while one project involving 1,529 units was completed earlier this year.
