Wan Azizah: PR remains governing Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 May: The President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, believes that the Selangor government administered by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will remain.

She said that what is happening now can still be discussed and all parties need to remain calm and not continue to ‘attack’ one another despite disagreements.

“We think that the Selangor government will remain despite differences (of opinions) but will continue to adhere to the principle that PR is still the ruling government in the state.

“Now, we are in a period of calm. We see it as a cooler period for all three parties,” she said at the Parliament lobby today.

The Opposition Leader said this in response to recent developments on differences of opinions between DAP and PAS.

Yesterday, DAP leaders claimed that PR will split and the PAS Congress’ outcome, which will take place this June, is expected to be the deciding factor.

However, PAS leaders insist with the Islamic party’s stance that they will remain with PR.
