Amy Search expands Tahfiz school

SHAH ALAM, 22 June: The Al-Bayan School Of Quran & Hadith will be moved to a more spacious and comfortable location in Denai Alam after the Shawwal celebration.

The owner, who is also the lead singer of the group Search, Suhaimi Abdul Rahman or Amy, 57, said that this is due to high demand among parents to enroll their children in the school.

He said that the religious school located in Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh, can now only accommodate 16 students.
“As long as there is good intention, Allah will make a way because we began small and will expand bigger.

“Now, we are renting a house to place students, but God-willing, they will be moved to a bigger and more comfortable shop-lot,” he said.

He said this during the Tahfizz Centre Registration Approval Programme at the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) office today.

During the programme, his school received JAIS recognition as one of the 185 private Tahfiz schools registered in Selangor.

The Al-Bayan School of Quran & Hadith is a school that specialises in teaching children aged seven to 15 years of age.

They are thought to memorise the Al-Quran, Hadith, Arabic language and basic studies such as English and math.

Amy said that the school which was built early last year did not have to wait long to obtain JAIS approval.

He said that he also received positive response from parents who were satisfied with the performance of their children attending the school.

“The change in attitude of the students is very good, they respect each other and help each other.
“What we are doing now is an experience for the future,” he said.
