SHAH ALAM, 3 AUG: A total of 28 premises were seized by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) during its raid operations on illegal cyber cafes throughout the year.
MPSJ Corporate Communications Officer, Muhammad Azli Ledger, said 36 Notices of Compound (NTK) also apply to the Cyber Centers & Cyber Cafes (MBPJ) By-Laws 2007.
He said that MBSJ also confiscated nine servers and modems as well as 363 monitors on the premises.
“The raid was successfully carried out to ensure that owners comply with the laws enforced,” he told Selangor Kini.
Azli said that MPSJ actively conduct raids on cyber cafes which operate without a valid license.
Meanwhile, regular monitoring is done continuously for premises which have a license.
“This operation will continue consistently to ensure that profits are not obtained illegally.
“MPSJ hopes that premise owners comply with all regulations established to ensure that legal action will not be taken against them,” he said.
