SHAH ALAM, 13 Sept: RM2.5 million allocated to install about 80 closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) at the Shah Alam Stadium to be additional points in helping the authorities monitor the misconduct of spectators.
Shah Alam Mayor, Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad, said that the CCTVs transmit the identities of those who continue to make mistakes on the scoreboard to help the authorities take action.
“Installation is currently underway and the operation is expected to start formally at the end of October.
“I have gone to the stadium to look into the installation process and CCTVs are scheduled to operate officially by the Selangor Sultan’s Cup on October 24,” he said, taken from Sinar Harian.
