Young Assemblymen spirited, but need to do more ‘homework’

SHAH ALAM, 10 Sept: Despite being spirited, the 56 Selangor Assemblymen have been asked to conduct detailed research before presenting a fact while debating a motion in the Selangor State Assembly (DNS).

The DNS Deputy Speaker said that the Young Assemblymen involved in the debate should also broaden the scope of the references by making comparisons between Selangor and other states.

“They are spirited, very good at discussing, but I think that they should find further information regarding issues highlighted so as to be better prepared.

“In addition, there are some young Assemblymen who are not focused on the real issue because they are addressing attacks from the opponents.

“But I think that this is good exposure. I believe that although there are some shortcomings, youngsters are somewhat aggressive but they can be polished to be better,” said Shafie Ngah when met by Selangor Kini during the DNS meeting when the Young Assemblymen took a break this afternoon.

Today is the second day the Young DNS Assemblymen convened involving 56 youths from local institutes of higher learning.

They each represented 56 areas designated according to the party that won the area in the 13th General Election.
