Immediately build Kapar Hospital, table in Budget 2016

SHAH ALAM, 4 Oct: The state government hopes that the proposed construction of the Kapar Hospital will be announced by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, in the Budget 2016.

The Exco for Health, Welfare, Family and Women’s Affairs, Dr Daroyah Alwi, said that the federal government should do this because the construction of the hospital is an urgent need.

“Before the 13th General Election (GE13), the construction of the Kapar Hospital was among the promises made by Barisan Nasional in Selangor. They cannot ignore this need because the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital is too crowded.

“The people in Sabak Bernam, Tanjung Karang, Shah Alam, Kapar and Port Klang are focused in this hospital,” she told Selangor Kini today.

Dr Daroyah expressed disappointment over the government’s decision to not include the proposed construction for the Kapar Hospital in the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).

“In the 10MP, it was included but implemented, but it is not even in the 11MP. Till when will the people’s health be politicised, and it fact is the government’s duty to implement it,” she said.

The state government had previously provided a 50 acre land for the project and in fact detailed discussions were held with ministry officials and the Prime Minister’s Department, but until now, there has been no cooperation from the federal government.
