‘Kayuhan Santai Jalur Gemilang’ MPAJ on 25 September

SHAH ALAM, AUG 24: ‘Kayuhan Santai Jalur Gemilang’ organised by Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) this September 25, in the compound of Ampang Point is expected to attract many participants.

The programme, in conjunction with the independence month and set to begin at 7:30 am, aims to cultivate patriotism and nationalism in the community.

In a media statement, an MPAJ spokesperson explained that the programme is to be held on this date, and not as was previously informed (September 29).

MPAJ Corporate Communications Officer Norhayati Ahmad said that the programme is held to instil love for the country, self-motivation and positivity in people.

“Besides, private companies and non-governmental organisations have a chance to contribute to the community through corporate social responsibility (CSR).

“It is also to strengthen the relationship between MPAJ and residents,” she said.

She said that these programmes also promote Ampang as a tourist destination as well as create more sustainable programmes with characteristics of the Local Agenda 21 (LA21).
