D’Village Spies Smart English and Pintar Matematik Improves Student’s Standard

AMPANG, 6 Dec: The state government organised the D’Village Spies Smart English & Pintar Matematik (Smart Mathematics) programme for the students is to improve Lembah Jaya student’s command in the subjects of English Language and Mathematics.

The programme which ran for six days, from 25 to 27 November and 2 to 4 December, involved about 150 participants, the majority being students who will be sitting for major examinations during the 2014 schooling term.

The Assemblyman for Lembah Jaya, Khasim Abdul Aziz, said that the programme was part of the state government’s effort to produce outstanding youth received very encouraging response.

“This is the first time we are holding this programme and we are thankful to receive encouraging response from students. We hope that the programme can be improved for the next programme.

“We noticed that some students are somewhat behind, especially in the subjects of English and Mathematics. That is why emphasis by Spies is focused on efforts to master Mathematics and the English Language.

“Parents must take the opportunity to send their children to join this school holiday programme, especially since the participation if free because it is fully shouldered by the state government,” he told Selangor Kini after inaugurating the closing ceremony here at the Lembah Jaya yesterday.

Khassim said that expects for some of the programmes under Spies to be continued in the future because it can prevent students from doing activities that are not worthwhile during the school holidays.

Meanwhile, an excellent student in the Smart English and Pintar Matematik, Nang Aliff Anaqie Haris Fuadi, 16, said that the programme helped him master the two important subjects.

“This programme is great because I get to spend school holidays by joining this Spies camp. The method of learning makes it easier for me to understand, write compositions and communicate. Meanwhile, in Mathematics class, I am able to figure out the formula of a calculation more accurately,” he said.

Muhammad Ridwan Rosli, 16, who was announced the best student of the English Language class said that his confidence to master the subjects increased after joining the programme.

“Actually, the English Language subject is not difficult, but needs a lot of understanding exercises as emphasises in this Spies programme,” he said.
