Free Circumcision Programme in Conjunction with the School Holidays

LEMBAH JAYA, 6 Dec: The Assemblyman of Lembah Jaya’s Office worked together with the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) in the surrounding areas to organise a free circumcision programme to ease the burden of parents who earn a low income.

The Lembah Jaya Assemblyman, Khasim Abdul Aziz, said that the programme, which was held in conjunction with the year-end school holidays managed to receive a participation of 0 children from around the area.

“The cost for each person is about RM160, which brings the total to over RM8,000 which was spent to fund this programme,” he said after inaugurating the Closing Ceremony of the D’Village Spies Smart English and Pintar Matematik (Smart Mathematics) here in Lembah Klang yesterday.

Khasim said that the organisers provided coupons that can be used in several selected clinics in Lembah Jaya and it is different from other circumcision programmes.

“Usually, many of these programmes hold mass circumcision ceremonies. However, this time is different. We give coupons to the parents of participants to go to selected clinics at the appropriate time according convenience.

“This is more convenient because they can go to selected clinics in their own time,” he said.

In addition to that, this method is more economical, thus creating more opportunities for participation for those who wish to take part.
