4 more PKNS subsidiary companies sign CIP

SHAH ALAM, 1 Nov: Four subsidiaries of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) signed the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) with the corporation in effort to fight against corruption and misconduct in the public and private sectors.

The four subsidiaries are SACC Convec Sdn Bhd, PKNS Real Estate Sdn Bhd (PREC), Akademik PKNS Sdn Bhd and De Palma Management Services Sdn Bhd.

Its General Manager, Azlan Md Alifiah, said that the commitment is being made to support the efforts of the state government, the Federal Government and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in improving integrity and transparency.

“This signing thus completes the 11 PKNS subsidiary companies that have joined the CIP and this is prove that PKNS is committed in ensuring that all subsidiary companies sign the CIP before the end of this year.

“This effort is crucial to ensure that all efforts carried out by PKNS reaches targets and can be emulated by other organisations,” he said.

Azlan was speaking at the PKNS subsidiary company’s Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) signing ceremony at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), today.

The pledge signing was officiated by the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, and witnessed by the MACC Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed.

Earlier, PKNS emerged as the first PKEN to implement the CIS and signed the CIP on November 14, 2012.

It was then followed by its four subsidiary companies; Selangor Industrial Corporation Sdn Bhd (SIC), PKNS Infra Berhad (PIB), Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) and PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd (PHSB) on December 17, 2013.

After that, three other subsidiaries followed suit; Selaan Sdn Bhd, PKNS Engineering and Construction Berhad (PECB) and Datumcorp International Sdn Bhd (DCI) on May 14 this year.

The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is serious in implementing the best corporate governance with the participation of the four last subsidiary companies signing the CIP today.
