SHAH ALAM, 26 Aug: Participants of Bersih 4.0 are reminded to bring 10 essential items while participating in the rally at all locations on August 29 and 30.
This was suggested by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) as a security measure and to ensure the comfort of participants during the rally.
The following are the items proposed:-
1) Sunglasses / Goggles and masks
2) Small packets of salt
3) Identity Card (IC) and cash
4) Towels and extra T-shirt
5) Mineral water or isotonic drinks
6) Glasses instead of contact lenses (myopia)
7) Tents, sleeping bags
8) Medicine
9) Telephone and Powerbank
10) Appropriate clothing and footwear
“Donation tins can also be brought because it is estimated that 100,000 participants are expected to join Bersih 4.0
“Bring donation tins and you may get RM2.6 billion,” reported Bersih’s official Facebook page.
Bersih is a coalition of non-governmental organisations aimed at reforming the current election system in Malaysia to ensure that it is free, fair and clean.
Following the previous Bersih rally, Bersih 4.0 will be held in Peninsula Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Sarawak (Kuching) and Sabah (Kota Kinabalu) on the two aforementioned dates.
This time, Bersih 4.0 is gathering to demand for six things, for fair and just elections, freedom of speech, the Prime Minister’s financial scandal, the fall of the ringgit, the people’s burden and to object the GST.
