Independent Investigation Commission to Investigate Wrongdoing of Minister of Home Affairs (KDN)

SHAH ALAM, 4 Dec: The Independent Investigation Commission should be established immediately to investigate allegations against the intervention of Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein with the police force.

PAS Youth chief, Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi said the issue is a serious event that requires immediate action.

It was exposed by the former Chief of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan that to date, no action has been done to uncover all possibilities of fraud and misconduct.

He hoped that the police acted to protect the people in accordance with current legislation, not taking care of the political parties and in accordance with their instructions.

“The exposure cannot be considered a betrayal by a former police chief, but the information should be disclosed and investigated immediately as it involves the question of the integrity of the Malaysian Police Force,” said Nasrudin in his press release.

He said Hishamuddin’s action is contrary to Section 4 (1) of the Police Act (1967) which allows only the IGP to give orders to his or her subordinates.

“PAS Youth also demanded that Hishammuddin go on leave until the investigation is complete.

“Hishammuddin should be a ‘gentleman’ and follow the footsteps of Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil by taking leave following the National Feedlot Centre (NFC) scandal,” he said.
