Anwar: PR Advances More Frightfully Than During 2008 General Elections

PETALING JAYA, 7 FEB: Pakatan Rakyat (PR), together with the strength of the party machinery, is completely ready to face the elections this year and are only waiting for the sound of the whistle indicating the dissolving of parliament from the Prime Minister.

This was conveyed by Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is expecting the advance of the opposition coalition to be more devastating than during the 2008 elections.

“PR has been long ready in terms of cooperation in taking over Putrajaya,” he said.

Elaborating further regarding PR’s readiness in facing the elections, Anwar is confident that the General Elections this time will give a powerful blow to Umno-BN in their fight to defend their rule of almost 55 years in governing the country.

“Recently, Umno-BN’s actions have been more desperate and rough, and the media can only be slanderous.

“I often advise the leadership of PKR and Pakatan Rakyat to continue to focus on agendas that show their (Federal Government) dishonesty because all of that is being erased by the mainstream media,” Anwar explained.

Recently, the European Muslim Elections Evaluation Committee informed that a confession from a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, that the mainstream media in this country has always been a tool for the government.

Through an exclusive interview with TV Selangor, Anwar also explained that despite having to face the dirty ways Umno-BN plays with politics, PR is confident in winning based on the public’s confidence and support towards the coalition.

When asked about the divition of seats among the various PR component parties, Anwar explained that it is already 95 percent complete.
