SHAH ALAM, 26 FEB: The appointment of Datuk Seri Najib Razak as the Selangor BN Election Director is clear evidence of how the state Umno-BN is lacking in energy to face the overwhelming support towards the Pakatan Rakyat Government from the public.
Selangor AMK Chief, Azmizam Zaman Huri said that this situation is seen as a desperate act from the Prime Minister himself as the BN Chairman, forcing him to involve himself to motivate the party machines which are becoming increasingly listless.
“AMK Selangor stated that they are not afraid at all to contest in the 13th General Election (GE-13) and the appointment of Najib Razak.
“It only reveals more flaws in the Umno-BN leadership, which is facing a stalemate with the advance of the people who will reject them for the second term in a row,” said Azmizam in his media statement.
He stressed that the Selangor AMK (Keadilan Youth Wing) also questioned the lack of an Umno-BN candidate for the post of Chief Minister for the state.
“Is that the reason why Najib Razak is panicking with his backward move to agree to become only the state’s election director.
“Is Najib Razak worried about an internal sabotage which will trap his political life in Umno should he fail to lead BN leaders to at least survive Putrajaya?” he questioned.
He said that if Najib Razak and Datuk Seri Mohamad Zin feels that this move will unnerve the AMK youth, the assumption is clearly wrong.
“AMK Selangor will strongly move the leaders of this youth machine to ensure that all strategies by Najib Razak will be crushed in his attempt to defend this state,” he said.
